We had a late night supper at Rainforest Cafe. Very late. Let me start at the beginning. We spent the day at Typhoon Lagoon water park. When we went to leave, our bag had been stolen (containing our wallets, cell phones, clothes, van keys, cameras, hotel key). After filling out all the paperwork for Disney and the police, getting a new cell phone, getting our spare keys from the hotel, and driving around looking for out stuff, we needed to get something to eat and do some shopping. I had left most of my shopping until the very end so it wouldn't be in the way. Coincidently, my shopping list for the most part was in the form of pictures on my cell phone (long gone by now).
It was probably close to 11pm when we got to Rainforest Cafe. I had a headache the size of Canada, I had just lost my cool and finally broke down crying, but knew we needed to eat. They were able to take us in right away. Neither one of us wanted to spend much time there (we still had to pack to leave the next day), so we explained our situation to the waitress, who was very accomodating.
We decided to order the Rainforest burger wih red skin garlic mashed potatoes.
Rainforest Burger - burger piled high with a fried onion ring, served on a toasted bun with tomato, lettuce, onion, and your choice of cheese $13.99
Overall, the burger wasn't bad and the mashed potatoes were good. This isn't a restaurant we usually visit due to their pricing being kind of high. It wasn't bad, but it won't be on the top of my list to return to. We have quite a few other favorites we like to visit if we decide to splurge. This was in the right place and the right time. I also feel that because there are other locations across the country, we could visit them instead of using our time and money at Disney towards this.
